Full Job Description
- Bookkeeping from client records to produce VAT returns
- Assistance with preparation of annual accounts and working papers to an excellent standard, for approval by the manager/partner overseeing the assignment
- Assistance with ad hoc accounts analysis work as and when required
- Assistance with completion of self assessment returns, income & expenditure and rental accounts work for individuals and partnerships
- Basic working knowledge of Xero, Sage, TASBooks and/or Taxcalc (training to be provided where necessary)
- To respect client confidentiality and report any issues which may affect client relationships to the senior/manager overseeing the assignment
- Office timesheets to update on a weekly basis
- Ad hoc administrative duties such as answering the phone, filing and general office duties when required
You will be working towards a level 3 qualification in AAT - Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
- Training will be 1 day a week at Digbeth campus, Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Essential

NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or equivalent AAT (Grade Pass) Essential, If you do not have your Level 2 or equivalent in AAT or your Maths and English your application will be rejected. Economics does not count as an equivalent. Please ensure you fill our your application fully and in-depth. This is a competitive job with only one position available.
