As an animation programmer you will collaborate closely with animators, technical animators, and gameplay programmers to implement, iterate, and refine animation features, playing a pivotal role in the development of high-quality gaming experiences. Your contributions will extend beyond conventional programming, as you work collaboratively to explain engineering implications and contribute to the creation and enhancement of animation tools and systems tailored to project requirements., As a people business, the success of our people is the success of our company. Your expertise will encompass a spectrum of animation technologies, including Unreal Engine's animation system, rigging, state machines, physics ragdolls, inverse kinematics (IK), compression, and facial animation. Your strong C++ programming skills and profound understanding of 3D mathematics will be key assets in this role. Leveraging your experience in multiplayer game development, you will seamlessly integrate animation features into multiplayer settings, elevating overall player experiences.

What you need to do this job:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine's animation system


  • Experience working on multiplayer games


  • At least one shipped AAA game in an animation programming role


  • Experience with animation technologies such as rigging, state machines, physics ragdolls, inverse kinematics (IK), compression, facial animation, etc.


  • Strong C++ programming skills


  • Excellent 3D mathematics knowledge


  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to share complex technical information with both programmers and non-programmers


  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
