Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Administrator to assist with administrative duties, including student reviews, the recording of progress and achievement through the Educational Planning Cycle (EPC) and quality assurance processes.

The post holder will be expected to embrace, articulate and work with the Trust's objectives, vision, values, purpose and method, ensuring that the Trust's paradigm of biodynamic agriculture, Anthroposophical medicine and practical skills education, which is informed by Steiner Education, is maintained, implemented and integrated within the provision of the School.

  • Experience of managing and prioritising a varied workload ensuring completion of tasks within strict deadlines

  • Experience of working in a similar administrative role

  • Experience of administering a function relevant to the educational progression and development of young people e.g., students

  • Experience of administering the process of accident and serious incidents/occurrences reporting

  • Experience of preparing material for inspections from such bodies as Ofsted

  • Experience of working in an education or other public sector environment

  • The ability to build highly effective and productive relationships both internally and externally with employers and other key stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • To be responsible for the scheduling of student meetings, including EHCP reviews.

  • Responsibility for inviting and notifying all relevant stakeholders of student review meetings.

  • To attend meeting as note taker and type up notes as required.

  • Diarising meetings and keeping track of actions and agendas.

  • Proficient IT skills including use of Microsoft office.

  • A professional attitude which reflects the values and culture of the Trust.

    Clervaux Specialist Garden School is a 100-acre site located near Clow Beck in Darlington and is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust (RMT), providing Specialist Independent Education to children from 10 to 19 years.


  • For over 30 years, Ruskin Mill Trust has provided Specialist Independent Educationto children and adults with complex needs including learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and disabilities. Our provisions offer day placements and applications. Inspired by Aonghus Gordon using the insights of Rudolf Steiner, John Ruskin and William Morris, Ruskin Mill Trust works with hand, head, heart and place to provide students with the tools to transform material and in doing so transform themselves.

    Actual Salary £23,886 per annum

    40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
