Full Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team and contribute to team success during a maternity leave period. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records, along with a solid understanding of UK accounting principles.,

  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies, using our ERP system.

  • Supplier Management: Maintain supplier accounts, including setting up new suppliers, updating supplier information, and resolving any discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.

  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments using online banking systems, cheques, and other payment methods.

  • Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records, investigating and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Recordkeeping: Maintain organised and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and related documentation

  • VAT Compliance: Ensure VAT compliance for all accounts payable transactions, including accurate recording of VAT amounts.

    Prior experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

  • Familiarity with UK accounting principles and regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
