Full Job Description

We are looking for an Accommodation Co-ordinator to join our Supported Housing Service in Bridgend on a full-time, temporary basis (6 month).

Where does the role fit in?

The Kerrigan Project provides support and accommodation for those who are experiencing homelessness. The project is aimed to support people who have complex needs including a combination of substance misuse, offending and mental ill-health.

We provide housing and support to improve mental and emotional health, reduce re-offending, access sustainable housing and maintain independence within the community. The people we work with are also encouraged and supported to develop life skills, engage in volunteering, education and training opportunities with the aim of becoming more independent and less reliant on support services.

You will monitor end to end tenancies and rent arrears including Housing Benefit and capture and monitor the service data for commissioners.

Daily duties include:

  • Maintaining the rent accounts and assist with the follow up of arrears with Housing Benefit and the clients.

  • Keeping the service records up to date including, statistics, policies and procedures.

  • Dealing with clients' queries as necessary, passing information on to project staff.

    A great Accommodation Co-ordinator will have good organisational and planning skills, will have the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally and will have the ability to use initiative and work under pressure. You will also need to be computer literate and have good time management skills. Relevant experience of working with vulnerable clients is desirable but not essential.

    Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours
