Full Job Description

Middlesbrough Football Club is looking to recruit an Academy Performance Analyst for our Category 1 Academy. The successful individual will play a crucial role in the Academy Performance Analysis Department, focusing on delivering high quality analysis content through various approaches to enhance individual player development and the Academy's overall game model.,

  • Film and capture games, training and other educational content.

  • Lead & enhance the delivery of pre, live & post-match analysis.

  • Manage the delivery of individual, unit & team analysis meetings with an aim to support the development of the individual within a team environment.

  • Collect data and manage statistical analysis databases to support player Individual Learning Plans (ILP) and reviews.

  • Create video clips to build a best-practice library in line with the Academy game model.

  • Maintain a library of Elite-Example videos to support individual player development.

  • Create highlight video & data packages for loan and released players.

  • Assist the Lead Academy Analyst with the provision of analysis services across the Academy.

  • Mentor and support placement students and contribute to departmental CPD sessions.

    Have a degree (either undergraduate or postgraduate) within Sports Performance Analysis, Coaching or Sports Science (or equivalent).

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in the field of performance analysis at an elite football club.

  • Display an excellent understanding of using performance analysis software (Sportscode, Studio, Wyscout etc.) and Microsoft Office & Apple equivalents (PowerPoint, Keynote etc.).

  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Thrive on the challenges of working in professional sport and must have a flexible approach to working hours to facilitate meeting all the demands of the role including evening and weekend commitments.

  • Football Coaching qualifications are desirable.

  • Have a full driving licence and use of a vehicle.

  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
