Full Job Description

Duties to include: Support with all aspects of personal care, getting dressed, medical needs, clean teeth with suction and set off food pump ready for her day at school. Walk to school and attend school with her to help with medical and personal needs. After school to support with personal care and medical needs and then support to go out into the community. She enjoys a look around the shops, going to the library or a ride to Teesside Park and spending time in the arcades and bowling. She also enjoys activities in the home including games, a pamper session and listening to music. On a weekend enjoys going to the Metro Centre and trips out to farms she needs encouragement to try new places.

Essential criteria: Applicants must be kind, patient, trustworthy, outgoing, reliable and can deliver person centred support. Someone who is willing to engage and promote participation and support with feelings and emotions. A car driver.

Desirable: Some experience with children with disabilities, PEG feeding, ventilator, tracheostomy and basic first aid would be preferred although full training will be arranged with regular updates by the employer.

All successful applicants will undergo and enhanced DBS check and references.

We are looking to recruit Personal Assistants to support our daughter who has complex needs.

Hours: Can be shared between several Personal Assistants. The shifts to be covered each week are:

Monday, Thursday and Friday - 8.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday - 7.00am to 8pm., Also, short break respite weekends twice a month which are Saturday - 11.00am to 9pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm.

Wage: £11.44 per hour
